Brasilia, capital of Brazil
I laid over Brasilia, the capital of Brazil for 8 hours, before flying into Rio De jenerio. It took me a while to find the airport luggage locker place. I was lucky agsin to run into a local family who also went into downtown and guided me use the less than halfe dollar bus (taking credit card directly).
I walked under hot sun and saw iconic modernist architecture, including the Catedral Metropolitana and the National Congress, Juscelino Kubitschek (JK) Memorial, the Torre de TV, and explored the Cultural Center (CCBB) and the National Museum. I relaxed at the National Library for the AC, free water and WiFi.
As the National day on 9/7 is approaching, the center was set up for big celebration and I can hear the airplanes and fight jets flying over.
