Waterfall hike near Cochabamba
I went hiking with two hostel mates to the waterfalls cascadas gemelas de Apote located northwest of Cochabamba. We took collectivo 106 (local bus) there, then walked to the park entrance. We followed the yellow trail first which is steeper along the stream to the bottom of the waterfall. And then the white trail to the top of the waterfall Cascadas de Apote.
I had diamox to prepare for high altitude hiking, but still couldn’t catch up with my hostel mates, so I told them to went ahead and took my own pace. We came back town around 1:30 pm and had time Tigo to my favorite vegetation restaurant for lunch. Again, I was surprised by the delicious dishes. Today we had similar salad, yet cauliflower creamy soup, vege burger rice, and purple corn dessert. We chatted with some hostelmates leaving tonight via overnight buses, and i tasted one sip of local crafted beer.
My cell service dropped again last night, and I found out that the Santa Cruz bus terminal vendor cheated me by selling me a 4-day unlimited SIM, instead of a 7-day unlimited SIM that I paid for. I tried but couldn’t so I had TIGO helped me to load a 12-day unlimited data plan.
