From Cochabamba to Sucre
After breakfast, I packed my bags, checked out the hostel, and went to the bus terminal with two other hostel mates who will also take an overnight bus to Sucre.
I then walked to the Laguna Alalay by myself. It was lack of water, pollution, and had strong odor, but now an important ecological zone with birdwatching opportunities, a great place for walking and cycling on the surrounding paths, and a good spot for outdoor recreation like birdwatching.
On the way back, I went to Mercado 25 de Mayo to exchange more local currency. The USD to BOB rate was 1:12.8 online, and I negotiated as 1:12.7 (still much better than the official rate 1:6.9).
I and one hostel mate went in the vegetarian restaurant at 1:30 pm which unfortunately ran out of food. However, we found a nearby small eatery and had pumpkin soup with chicken rice just for 15b ($1.2).
I rested in the hostel this afternoon to prepare for the 10-hr overnight bus ride to Sucre. I ate leftovers for dinner, took a shower, and said goodbyes to my friends staying in Cochabamba.
